Infants & Children
“There is no 'supposed to be' in bodies. The question is not size or shape or age, or even having two of everything, for some do not. The wild issue is, does this body feel, does it have a connection to pleasure, to heart, to soul, to the wild? Does it have happiness, joy? Can it, in its own way, move, dance, jiggle, sway and thrust? Nothing else matters.” ~ Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
As much as we know our children, they know themselves better. Let them take part in their own healthcare. Empowerment begins at an early age. This work supports whole body health and makes children more resilient and adaptable to when illness, accidents, and life challenges happen.
When you keep a child free from restrictions and torsion patterns that happen from life, growing becomes joyful and seamless. The child grows uninhibited. Growth is less stressful, less painful and less overwhelming to the balanced child (maybe a little less whining and a few less tantrums). They have more energy to dedicate to playing, moving, and discovering the potential of their minds and bodies.
As they experience the work, children will begin to know what it feels like to be balanced and settled in their center. They will learn on a deep level what ‘health’ feels like in their bodies. Knowing what feels right will make them more aware of when something might be wrong. They will learn to listen to their bodies and connect with their inner wisdom, that part of them that is always whole, healthy, and perfect and knows exactly what to do to heal itself.
My goal is to empower kids. I hope to give them the tools to learn about their body mechanics and inner sense of self. I hope to give them a ‘health visit’ where they will not be treated for what is wrong but seen as whole and where they will leave feeling better, more themselves, refreshed, lighter, more at ease, more fluid, their emotions more manageable and their bodies free from pain and restrictions.
