Infants & Children

“There is no 'supposed to be' in bodies. The question is not size or shape or age, or even having two of everything, for some do not. The wild issue is, does this body feel, does it have a connection to pleasure, to heart, to soul, to the wild? Does it have happiness, joy? Can it, in its own way, move, dance, jiggle, sway and thrust? Nothing else matters.” ~ Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes

When you keep a child free from restrictions and torsion patterns that happen from life, growing becomes joyful and seamless. The child grows uninhibited. Growth is less stressful, less painful and less overwhelming to the balanced child (maybe a little less whining and a few less tantrums). They have more energy to dedicate to playing, moving, and discovering the potential of their minds and bodies.

As they experience the work, children will know what it feels like to be balanced and settled in their center. They will learn on a deep level what ‘health’ feels like in their bodies. Knowing what feels right will make them more aware of when something might be wrong. They will learn to listen to their bodies and connect with their inner wisdom, that part of them that is always whole, healthy, and perfect and knows exactly what to do to heal itself.

This work supports whole body health and makes children more resilient and adaptable to when illness, accidents, and life challenges occur.

My goal is to empower kids. I hope to give them tools to learn about their body mechanics and inner sense of self. I hope to provide a ‘health visit’ where they are participants in their own healing. Together we will unwind the parts that are stuck so they will leave feeling not just better, but more deeply themselves.

What Kids Are Saying

‘I feel like a starfish. No, like a marshmallow’ said Miles giggling. ‘Soft and expanded’ asked his mom? ‘Yeah.’
— Miles, 5
Emily’s appointments are very relaxing to the body and the mind, and I can feel a difference with my body afterwards.
— Mira, 13
Emily is absolutely amazing at what she does. I saw her initially for back, neck, and shoulder pain, and it was such a great decision! I’ve been seeing her for over three years now. I always leave the sessions feeling so much better than when I arrived.  Emily is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and professional.  The results she provides are amazing and I can’t recommend her services enough!
— Lauren , 15

What Mom’s Are Saying

I can’t tell you how happy Mas is after this work! We came home after his first session and he said ‘my back is free!’ and he has been dancing like a fish in mid-air with a big smile. I can see that his upper body has lost its ‘kink’ and it is visibly more symmetric. He was really moved by the session. I’m kicking myself for not getting to this earlier.
— Leyna
My son developed torticollis after he was born and I started taking him to see Emily when he was two months old. Now he is five. Emily’s work with him made ALL the difference! His torticollis improved with every session and then completely resolved. As a mother, I was able to witness how he was held and deeply cared for by Emily’s hands. She connected with Miles in a gentle way that made him feel safe. Her ability to be present with him allowed him to be a part of his healing. I have continued to take him to her, especially after growth spurts, and he benefits greatly from this work. He looks forward to seeing her and expresses feeling good. His actions, behavior, and sleep patterns also reflect this. I am forever grateful that I found Emily for my son. She has been such a gift to his overall wellness.
— Stacy, Postpartum Nurse
My daughter was 11 years old when we started Emily’s 10 series appointments. She was experiencing all the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of puberty and all the changes that come with it. During her first appointment, Emily asked if my daughter had ever had issues with wetting the bed at night, which she did when she was younger. Emily explained that my daughter had very tight muscles pulling near her bladder and that could cause issues like that. It was such a relief to my daughter that it was something physical that had caused this, and it was something that Emily could resolve for her, instead of it being “something wrong with her.” Each subsequent session helped my daughter feel more strong, confident, and grounded in her body. The sessions also helped my daughter physically and mentally with her swimming and gave her more confidence socially because she felt more comfortable with her body and herself overall.
— Jane, mother of 2 daughters who see Emily and someone who sees Emily herself
